With support from WWF-Australia’s Rewilding Australia program, we’re monitoring animals across Lungtalanana.
Pakana and Truwana rangers visited 50 wildlife cameras in December, with WWF-Australia’s Patrick Giumelli. We collected thousands of photographs from the cameras, which will tell us how many cats are on the island and which other animals live there.
Rangers also showed feral cat expert Dr Michael Johnson around the island. Mike is advising us on the best way to remove all the cats from the island.
