You can nominate someone for either category or for both. The NAIDOC awards are open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only. The awards will be presented at the NAIDOC Ball in Launceston on Kanamaluka on Friday 10th July 2026


The awards acknowledge what a person has done or achieved. This can be in any area you choose, for example: voluntary service, education, art, sport or culture.

The nomination form must reach us by Monday 29th June 2026.


Tasmanian Aboriginal NAIDOC Award Nomination Form 2026

Nominations are open for Tasmanian Aborigine of the Year 2026 and for NAIDOC Special Awards for anyone who has done something remarkable during the year. Any area of human endeavour will be considered. The NAIDOC awards are open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only. Nominations must be received by Monday 29 June 2026.
